Bishop Dr. H.D. Haywood, Sr. Our Midwest Jurisdictional Prelate "EMERITUS"
|
IN 2009, Bishop Haywood shared the UFCCM Mission and Vision with
Bishop Strong and he (Bishop Strong) being a seasoned spirit filled bishop
of over 15-years, heard and obeyed the voice of the Lord to affiliate with the
UFCCM. Bishop Haywood then appointed Bishop Strong as the Presiding
Bishop of the newly created Midwest Province No.1 in 2010 which consisted
of five(5) states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Bishop Haywood saw swift development in the Province as well as the
command of discipline and respect that Bishop Strong had with many other
elders, pastors, overseer and bishops locally and from around the country.
At the leading of the Lord, Bishop Haywood communicated to the
International Presiding Prelate (Bishop Tindal) that God was shifting him to
begin more development in the upper Wisconsin province/districts which
would leave him more time of service in his national level appointment with
the UFCCM and to focus locally with his personal church ministry.
Based on the relationship Bishop Haywood had with Bishop Strong, he felt
that Bishop Strong was the man to succeed him and take the Midwest to
another level and a formal request was made by Bishop Haywood for
transition and Bishop Strong become Midwest Prelate. This request was
honored by the Presiding Prelate and the Board Of Bishops and accepted
by Bishop Strong during a special board of bishop's meeting at the 7th
Annual UFCCM Fellowship Conference in Baltimore Maryland on June 18th,
2011. Bishop Tindal then appointed Bishop Strong on the Official Day of the
conference as Midwest Jurisdictional Prelate and Bishop Haywood as
Midwest Jurisdictional Prelate "Emeritus."
